If I were to switch from a front wheel drive car with a Quaife to one with a welded diff, what would I expect it to behave like? What would be different from what I'm used to?
Anybody racing one of these things? I know of one for sale and on paper it makes sense,150 lb. or so more than my GTI and 132 HP instead of 108. Do you race one or against one?
I need someone to settle a "discussion" that a friend and I are having about A2 eligible cams. He says that the hydraulic G-grind can be used in a RD code engine. My belief is that G-grinds are not eligible for any A2 engine. Opinions,please.
Not a race question, but I have a 16V 2L with a buggered tranny. What other transmissions will fit. I believe the 2L trans has a larger diameter input shaft than an 8V one, but the ratios are the same except for 5th gear. Will an A3 unit work or must I find a 16V A2 someplace?

Is the difference in compression ratio between a GolfII and a Rabbit GTI in the head/combustion chamber or in the piston shapes? I'd like to put a solid lifter head and a mild cam on a CIS-E engined Golf without giving up the compression advantage.

Anybody know what kind of power loss I would experience if the switch weren't working? In comparing notes with another GTI driver on shift points and RPM at various places on the track I concluded that it might not be working. Together we tested it with an Ohm meter and it's not doing anything...
Is anyone running a 2nd generation 510 in IT and is the car competitive? I road rallied one years ago and wondered what IT class it runs in and would it be worthwhile considering for IT.
