I just got back from my motor guy's shop where we dyno my new 1.8 16v motor, (that blew up in Feb.)and we pulled 141HP @ 7,000rpm at the crank . We did several passes, all about the same. At about 6,000rpm we pulled 132HP. I had to leave before I saw any torque numbers. I'm pretty excited...

Driver's school is 1 week away, it's on Friday and Saturday with a regional on Sunday. First question: If I pass driver's school you are allowed to race on Sunday, is three days of racing to much for novice? Second question: I was thinking of using Falkens street tire for driver's school...

I Bought a set of mechanical gauges, oil pressure and water temp. My engine guy says to use electric, because of the oil running in the line, if it breaks or come loose you have oil spraying at 100psi. I heard guys say you can't trust the electrical gauges for accuracy. What are some thoughts...

OK, so we have a new valve job (see thread below) during the job my engine guy said; "do you know you have 2.0l head on a 1.8 body?" Dah no. The question is why would someone do this? Wouldn't that create more top end less bottom? Thanks. ------------------ ahondafor?

Hello, I have a problem. I have 25% leak in the number 3 cylinder and 20% in number 4. Could it be just valves or someother problem? The car does have weak valve springs. The car is 1987 gti 16v. Thanks for any help (from a newbie) ------------------ ahondafor?
