    ITA Miata project, August "Sports Car"

    Anybody else read the ITA Miata project article in the August Sports Car? Apparently its now OK to substitute parts from a '99 Miata on a '96 ITA Miata (they installed a '99 diff). Isn't the '99 Miata classed in ITS? :shrug:

    IT Racer honored as Worker of the Year, SCCA RMD

    Ty Till, a frequent poster on this board, was recently chosen as Worker of the Year by Rocky Mtn Division SCCA. Congratulations for a well-deserved recognition! :D For those who don't know him, Ty is (in no particular order) a SCCA Tech Steward and ITS racer.

    225/45x15's on 15x7 wheels

    Would like to run 225/45x15 tires on my ITA Miata, but am having trouble locating a tire in that size that works well. Avon makes one, but its a cantilever sidewall design is thus very heavy - extra 6 lbs per corner of unspring weight and rotating mass compared to a 205/50. Don't think thats a...
