    Rear tranny leak

Is the fix to this leak a replacement of the rubber seal visible at the very back end of the tailshaft (that seal which can be replaced from the outside simply without driveshaft removal) or is it an internal seal that requires parting of the cases? I filled a spare tranny with oil which...

    JY tranny

Anyone have a handy list of parts and pn's for seals, bushings, bearings that should be replaced as a matter of course when installing a used tranny (known to run ok -- don't plan to open it up)? I'll probably run one session with new cheap oil, drain hot, and then put in Redline MTL.

    Winter race schools

Myself and 2-3 fellow IT & RX-7 roadracers are looking for a good, 2-3 day advanced racing school to attend between now and end of Feb. We each have 1-3 yrs. racing experience but a serious desire to step up our results (and an equal desire to escape the Canadian winter for a few days). All of...

Tokico vs. Bilstein for 1st gen

My Tokico's need replacement. What's the relative merits of Bilstein's for my set-up? I run 350F/175R springs, stock front swaybar, no rear swaybar, OEM Watts in rear (i.e. no rear panhard), Tokico dry settings have been usually #4F, #2 or #3R.

    12A Pilot bushing

Past posts have referred to a MazdaComp roller bearing pilot bushing (i.e. the one housed in the clutch and which accepts the transmission input shaft). MazdzaComp says they have no such part other than the stock solid bushing. Is this true or if not, can anyone give me a specific part number...

    Spec RX-7 vs. Spec Miata

I run in a spec RX-7 class that allows street-porting but no carb mods. We don't have Spec Miata in our area but it will no doubt emerge. I am curious if SM's run closer to each other than do Spec/Pro RX-7's. This hypothesis stems purely from the fact that carbs and timing make for the...

    Pilot bushing

I remember reading here that the common problem of getting false neutrals when shifting to 3rd can be solved with a MazdaComp pilot bushing. From a search through the parts catalogue on their website I'm not sure which part it is that's being recomended for a 12A stock tranny. More specifics...
