Just checking the current national points standings in STU and I noticed a particular car that looks kind'a out of place. Anyone attend the sprints this year notice a STU car unlike any others in the class?
Sunday results...
Hey since this is the place for STU/STL to post and not impose on the Prod guys. I thought I start this thread. I finished my 3rd weekend race at the Buttonwillow Majors. I'm qualified, so now the car prep begins.
I remeber there was a video of a lap at Mid-Ohio, where several guys just goofing off. But I can't seem to find it. Anyone remember it and got a link?
Thanks
After an encounter with a dirt berm, I need to make a new splitter. I'm considering using vacuum formed ABS sheet over a plywood mold for the splitter, then a second piece for the air dam bonded to the top. After my experience with the dirt berm I'd rather have the splitter break and not take...
This weekend will be the second Majors race in the West Coast area. I'm really getting excited about this race. It'll be my first race on my new suspension and my second on BF Goodrich R1's. We also have a full podium of STU cars signed up, so hoping for some contingency this weekend.
The...
I thought I'd post these here as some in the Pacific regions might be intereseted in a place where they can easily find the dates for both So-Pac's road racing schedule and the Western conference Majors schedule. I've found these in the Cal-Club November news blast...
Am I going crazy, or will the maximum compression ratio be bumped up a 1/2 point next year to 12.5:1? I though I read it in a fastrack, but now I can't find it.
I ordered a set of 12.5:1 pistons, but can add 0.030" to the head gasket and drop it that 0.5 point. I need to know so that I can...
I'm confused by all this Intake manifold/throttle body revisions to the ST rules... Can someone explain what's going on?
Also, what if there are two possible Intake manifold that came in your car with two different numbers of throttle bodies. Are you trying to limit us to the most common...
You can ninja edit my thread all you like but you can't deny the fact that STU is no place to run a naturally aspirated car. All your efforts to reel in the turbo cars have been shown to be hollow and ineffective. You don't even have an effective way to determine that all the air flows through...
I'm possibly encouraged by the proposed change to the TIR table for STU. But I find the notes wording confusing:
“Turbocharged AWD/RWD cars must deduct 2 mm from this table.”
It could be argued that "deduct 2mm" may mean use the weight of a 2mm smaller TIR. Instead I'd propose the following...
Looks like the margin of victory was pretty wide... with the Solstice running away with it. By the HP/weight the turbo cars are at least 150-200lbs light, and that's not even counting for the fact they're really torque mosters over the high strung naturally aspirated motors. So, what's to be...
Well Kirk, you asked for it and Greg is anticipating getting his own. So here are the first pictures of Brook's effort to make a top quality wing for ST-U/L.
It took him a bit longer than anticipated to come up with this wing. The tricky part is the sharp leading edge profile. To...
Maybe I'm missing something in the STCS, but I'm not sure what "is" a chassis? Is it seperated by vehicle style, sedan/coupe/convertible/roadster? Or would it correspond to GM's x-body/j-body/f-body ect.
Why ask this question: well what if a chassis was built from 1992 to 2002 but one...
