I heard last night that Mike Cox passed away the other day.
Services are being held this Saturday in Lakeland FL.
(Contact Marilyn Hendricks at Florida Performance Machine for Service details 407-324-RACE)
As many Central Florida Region members know, Mike raced his RX7 in the CFR and was a...
After a 7 year absence, I gave up on National racing returned to IT racing this year with my 1994 Ford Mustang Cobra in ITO.
The results were good.
With light competition and a reliable car, I was able to get 6 SARRC victories and qualify for the SIC at Robeling next month.
While I have raced...
During Saturdays Group 3 race, an AS Camaro ended up inverted in the tire wall in turn 14.
There was no caution flag out when this group of five cars came by at full tilt, only to find the driver of the AS car on the ground 15 feet away.
Here is a still from my video:
Here is the video from...
I came across the Turbine Brake Rotors at the PRI show.
(My 1994 STO Mustang runs the 14in rotors from a 2007-up GT500)
http://www.turbinebrakerotors.com/steel_rotors.php
The STO rules say a 'ferrous' rotor is required and 1 or 2-piece.
(The rep at the show says a magnet will stick to the...
I have been racing a 1994 Mustang in BP/STO since the classes inception.
One area that has always confused me was the additions and subtractions for the rear suspension.
The GCR says:
"8. STO and STU cars that come with a solid rear axle or trailing
arm suspension are permitted an aftermarket...
The Daytona Regional/Enduro (non-ECR) on May 7th & 8th has over 300 entries.
The following week, May 14th & 15 the Double SARRC at PBIR has 26 entries.
I know the new surface at Daytona offers the chance for drivers to set some new track records, but is that alone enough to account for the lack...
This was brought up on the SCCA forums and I wanted to get your take on it.
From the GCR:
B. Eligibility

Normally, it's the 20th.
The website says it will be up on the 22nd.
Today is the 23rd, and still no dice.
Anyone have a idea as for the delay?
Did everyone go to Wisconsin and forgot they had to upload it?
The supps don't say if spectators are allowed or even if VIP passes are available for members.
Anyone know if spectators are allowed at the Double National at Homestead this weekend?

I sent Sam an email about two weeks ago ordering some new graphics. He replied that he would contact me when they shipped in a day or two. (he has been doing my graphics for the last 5 years or so)
I have not hear from him since, and when you call his shop, you get a 'mailbox full' recording...

He wanted to know the...
