    It's Alive!!

Well after what seems like a million hours of work and struggles the Acura is back together and ready for the cheap date. She has a new clutch, new axle, new ball joints, new numbers so I don't get yelled at by the stewards again and heck I even gave her a car wash! Now I need to go buy a new...

Any Updates on Head and Neck Restraints from SCCA?

So after seeing another serious accident happen at NHIS this weekend, I am all but reminded that I need to stop waiting and buy something. I have heard both sides of the Isaac and HANS arguements and I have read SCCA's response. Are there any updates on SCCA changing to accept Isaac or any other...

So I Bought a New Truck...

So I finally broke down and got sick of borrowing my fathers truck. With that said, I have been looking for 2 months and I finally settled on a 2006 F350 SuperCab Diesel 4x4. I have only put 100 miles on it and what a truck! It rides very nice and it is not stiff as heel like my dads GMC 3500...

So I belive my clutch in my GSR has seen its final day and I figured I ight as well bite the bullet and go all out if I have the tranny apart anyways. Another Noob Hot Lap Timer Question

So I bought a hot lap timer and last time I tried it at LRP I couldn't get it to work. I think two things are the possible cause and please tell me what you think 1. I have mine mounted rather high on the roll cage just below the roof line on my front B pillar. Is this too high? 2. At LRP I...

    Rain Tires

Going to NHIS in a couple of weeks and the likely hood of being there for 4 days with no rain is probably unlikely. With that said, I have been told that my Falken Azenis are crap. So what are you guys using? I have heard use full tread RA1's, but what will happen if the track begins to dry out...

    Noobie NHIS Questions

So it looks as though I will be finally making it out to NHIS for the April School and I just have a few questions for the NHIS veterans. 1). Is NHIS hard on brakes? It does not seem so when looking at video... 2). Is it worth getting a garage? 3). Is the best/cheapest local hotel The Red Roof...

So thanks to Greg and Dick, I am seriously getting ready to go back to school! 1) What is the best/cheapest reasonable hotel around NHIS? I see that there are many options, but I am looking for opinions. 2) If I were to get signed off, how does the licensing work if I want to race Sunday?

    Power Windows and Locks Clarification

Okay, I have a '95 GSR with full power everything. The way I read the rules, there is no rule against me relocating the wiring into the car for the power windows and power mirror controls. This way, I can cover the doors with aluminium to prevent glass from coming into the car. Can anyone please...

Kart Track Annual Tech Inspection - Scales?

Any chance anyone would be willing to setup a set of scales at any of the annual tech inspection dates? I know my car needs to be corner weighted and I am sure that my Integra needs some more weight added as well! If I could kill two birds with one stone that would be awesome!

    Best Way to Add Weight?

With all the weght adjustments, we need to bolt more weight to the floor. Lead is obviously the heaviest, but also the most expensive. Has anyone encountered a better material and a good mounting system yet?
