    Best tranny guy in Mass?

OK boys, who do you use, who do you trust? I have a 4l80E from my truck sitting in the back of my wife's Pilot. I'll be sleeping beside it by tomorrow night if I don't get this thing into qualified hands. Thanks in advance. Steve O.

"We have a pool and a pond. The pond would be good for you."

And now, for something completely different: For reasons best explained by the painkillers I'm taking for a shoulder problem, I was thinking about the idea of this track in Tamworth and the motorsports "country club" concept when I started thinking about what a remake of "Caddyshack" would be...

Other side of new track story?

I've been spending a lot of time in the Ossipee Lake area this summer and recently had a chance to talk to a few locals about the new track situation up there (My stickered-up H2-yellow Suburban daily driver/race hauler tends to be a conversation starter at places like gas stations). Anyway...

Rental car owners: This one's for you.

A lot of you know me as the driver of the 07 ITS RX-7, one of the four Flatout Motorsports cars. (Most of you have passed me at one time or another). I am also an attorney and own my own practice. Racing and the law thankfully almost never mix, but as several of the Flatout Motorsports drivers...

Anyone from Western Mass coming to the meeting?

Looking for a favor: I sold a Kirkey race seat to a guy from Albany and his plan to pick it up has fallen through. (Locusts or plague or something like that). Anyway, I was looking to get it that much closer to him for him to pick up if possible. Give me a buzz directly at 508-361-3841 if...

South Chicane: Love it or Hate it?

OK folks, it's been a few days since a lot of us had our first taste of the south chicane. Whether you'd run it before, or never seen it before Sunday, what did people think? Steve ------------------ Steve Ostrovitz 07 ITS RX-7 FlatOut Motorsports New England Region www.flatout-motorsports.com

Anyone running a four door Accord?

Just wondering if anyone here is, or knows of anyone campaigning a four door (BTCC style?) Accord out there. Currently in an ITS RX-7, but I've had this on the brain for a while. Thanks Steve ------------------ Steve Ostrovitz 07 ITS RX-7 FlatOut Motorsports New England Region...

    Minor waivers for NHIS?

Do kids need a minor waiver to get into NHIS to watch? The one on-line at scca.org looks like a participant form for solo events. May well be the same thing but just wanted to double check. Dick? Brian? Thanks. Steve ------------------ Steve Ostrovitz 07 ITS RX-7 FlatOut Motorsports New...

Dirt Stocker size for 2nd gen?

    Autometer gauge hookup?

I'm told that I may need adapters to hook up an Autometer water temp gauge and an oil pressure gauge because the fittings on the 13B are British thread? Anyone have any input on this? Everyone runs these gauges so I figure there must be an easy answer but I only want to place one order for the...

Tranny compatability? '85 vs. later years?

OK, here's the short question: My question is this: Is there any reason NOT to use the '85 tranny in a second gen ITS RX-7 Here's the story: I sent a non-ribbed box to a shop for forks and seals etc.... It was from an '87 parts car. Tech ordered forks and seals for an '87. Otherwise on the...

    2nd Gen hub/spindle/brake cross compatability?

This was touched on in a recent post, but is there anything specific anyone can tell me about converting a 4 lug car to 5 lugs? Are hub/spindle/caliper/rotor setups all cross compatible? In other words, can I bolt on any year five lug setup once I take the old stuff off? Is there a year to look...
