What kind of racer are you?

Just out of curiosity... I've always raced under the philosophy that we do this for fun, and it is much more fun to actually compete with other drivers for position than to win running all alone. Of course the ultimate high is to have good, close racing, where you come out on top; but with the...

    Left-foot brake checking; do you?

Just to expand on a topic that started in the Mark Pombo crash thread on RRAX; how many of you guys do the left-foot brake test going into heavy braking zones? I never have, mainly because I questioned its usefulness. I always figured that by the time you realize something is wrong, and react...

    Plug wires for 240SX

I will be replacing the wires this week on the 240SX, and thought I would poll the Nissan guys to see what you are using and what you thought of them. I've only been running Accel 8mm Spiral Core wires so far, and really have no complaints, but just thought I would get some opinions before I...

    ITB Sentra - WTF?

Was just perusing ITB specs, daydreaming about racing something that might actually have a chance at a win...but I digress... Came across the B13 Sentra in ITB, and I see it is classed at 2520 lbs. I'm thinking, wow that's heavy for ITB, it must make gobs of power. I look it up and, um, no...

Minutes here Tech Bulletin here Nothing much really for the IT guys, some thing for the ST crew - I'll let Greg elaborate on those. I was very happy to see the rule that now recognizes ARMS and EMRA comp licenses; as I just recently made the decision not to renew my SCCA license this year in...

    240SX brake lights always on

Quick question for all you 240SX guys - I noticed Saturday as I was taking the car off the trailer that the brake lights are now always on. Since I was re-decking the trailer all day Sunday I didn't get a chance to look at it, and with a race weekend coming up I would prefer not to - can't...

The best ITB car nobody is racing?

Ok, so I'm sitting here playing those mind games you play when you need a break from the daily grind, and was thinking about what my next IT project might be. Since a real, competitive ITR car isn't going to fit the budget I've been thinking about looking for an ITB car. The fact that it is...

    MARRS 5 Report

For those who don't patronize the other board: I'll let some of the participants fill in the details, but there were some excellent races yesterday and today at Summit. As seen from pit lane: First, our old friend and girlie car driver Rob Myles (aka wreckerboy) did the geezers proud...

    Factory options question

Ok, I'm pretty sure I know, but just wanted to run it past our resident rules experts: any factory option that was available for the model/year car listed on the spec line is legal, unless it differs from something listed on the spec line (e.g. trans gear ratios, rotor diameter, etc), right...

    Tercel in ITC?

Has anyone ever asked for this car - '95-'98 Tercel - to be classed in ITC? Seems to me it would be a good fit - FWD, 93HP/100TQ, and with a curb weight around 2,000 it would probably make the ITC weight (~2200) with even a portly driver. Edit: oh, and I forgot to add the most important part...
