Brake rotor question

for those of you who have used several different brand of rotors.

Do the oem spec Brembos merit the money or do Autozone rotors perform just as well under race conditions?

The vehicle is a 89 Accord
 
We use the Brembo rotors and have been pleased with then over the Honda rotors. We get much better feel in hard braking and more predictable results. As far as cost, the Bremdos are less than $40.00 each as compared to Honda are $120+

just curious as to how a rotor change from brembo to oem honda can effect pedal feel? please elaborate....

I use the oem replacement brembos for cost reasons...i cant tell the difference between the stock ones and brembos...they are essentially the same except for price...way cheaper

What can I say, except I am just a owner, driver not the crew chief. It had a better pedal feel right off the bat. It was also confirmed with my co driver. I would suspect that pad selection also plays a part in this. We are currently running either Hawk blues or Carbotech, depends on the track we are at. Carbotech has provided some stellar input for pad selection based on the tracks that we run in the South East. By the way we are getting the Bremo's from Carbotech as well, Great company.

Brembos.
The cheap ones warp rather quicly if they are not warp new from the stacked shipping. They are worth the extra $20 bucks.

For that matter, both are cheap enough that you should try them out decide for yourself.

Don't spend tons of money on the magic sciences. Just buy new rotors.
 
I'd be curious if anyone has tried cryogenic treatment on their rotors... The cryo fans say it normalizes the metal from the stress created when the disc cool unevenly during manufacture. Sounds like it make sense. Just wonder if its true.

Anyone ever try it?
