Cracked Windshield

Just curious if this is a big deal. I could not find anything in the GCR about it. The crack is in the middle to the right side of the windshield.

Should not be a problem for tech, if that is what you are worried about. However, windshields are "consummables" in our kind of racing, so it may be a good idea to learn the change procedure.

Depending on how bad it is, and the inspector's attitude that day, the result could be anything from no notice, to a logbook notation to take care of it by next event, to banning you from the event...

Personally, as long as it's not in the driver's immediate field of view and does not appear to be a problem with the windshield stoving in during the event, I'd logbook-notate it. But, it's inspector's discretion...
