VW Wheel Stud length?

I am going to be changing to wheel studs on my ITB Scirocco, but I am not sure what length to purchase?

I have recently acquired some 13x6 wheels that require lug bolts longer than my current wheels. I also intend to add ½” spacers.

Bildon carries 80mm and 58mm in their brand and 55mm, 65mm and 75mm in VWR studs. I am leaning towards the 75mm, but I don’t want them to be sticking out on the sides like something from James Bond.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Jason

I'd go w/ either the 75mm or 80mm ones. I use ARP one for an F-body GM car, but they are press-in, and you have to drill the hubs/drums. When I change out the hubs, I'll go w/ the 75mm VWR ones from Bildon.

I installed the 75mm screw in studs from OPM. I use a 8mm spacer on the front. The wheels are Borbet Type C. The end of the studs are even with the wheels on the front and stick out a little on the back. A spacer on the back would probably make the studs even with the wheels. BTW, make sure you get the proper wheel nuts. OPM has both the tappered and the ball and socket VW type. They require a 19mm socket.
