Wrong Transmission and Classified Weight

Hey ITAC members,

On perusing the spec's for ITR I realized that all the BMW Z3's are classified with a 6-speed transmission. I've sent in a letter to the CRB to point out this error; however, I'm curious to see if the correct transmission and ratio's were used in classing the Z3. The proper transmission and ratio's can be found in the Touring rules. Thanks,

James, if you are asking of the Z3 got extra weight because of a 6-speed, then no, it did not. The 6-speed spec was a simple transcription error of unknown origin.

Just as I suspected, just looking for some confirmation. I was a little concerned that it was possible for a Z3 racer to be protested for not having the correct transmission, when it was truly the correct stock transmission.
