Ok I finally decided and registered for the double at daytona. Going to bring my new to me ITA car there, so with a test day and parents coming to watch can anyone recommend a good hotel that is truck and trailer and old folks friendly.
 
the suburban across the street does an scca discount rate. the super 8 is down on the other side of the highway but not to far from the track. you can stay out on the beach at some nice places for pretty cheap and there are better places to eat out that way too. we stay right next to the track at the hampton, has good parking on the back side of the building, right next to the airport.
